Happy New Year!

Just a few hours and there will be a new start.

In year 2013 I wish you health, happiness, success and love :)

My new year resolution is:

Every week in year I will draw a interior design
and
I hope that with this I will learn to draw
Because
I need to learn this,
especially if I want to do something like this...

And you ...
What is your New Years resolution? :)

And how will you spend the longest night in the year? :)

Movie Thursdays: Perfect Pitch

Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls a Capella group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.

these two are hilarious!
Hot girls, hot guy(s) dancing and singing hits. You just got to love it :D

Loove! Watch it with my brother and we both liked it very much. But I liked it more, because of the Breakfast Club reference with the songs and all :)

Movie Thursday: The Breakfast Club

Five high school students, all different stereotypes, meet in detention, where they pour their hearts out to each other, and discover how they have a lot more in common than they thought.

A brain
A beauty
A jock
A rebel
                                  and
A recluse

My favourite movie of all time!

Love, love, loveee everything about it. If you haven't watch it, it should be your next must see movie!
You will love it because of the funny scenes, great dialogues and of course...the dance!

Claire Standish: [about her parents] I don't think either one of them gives a shit about me. It's like they use me just to get back at each other.
Allison Reynolds: [her first word of dialogue so far] Ha!
Claire Standish: [long pause] Shut up!

Claire Standish: Do you know how popular I am? I am so popular. Everybody loves me so much at this school.
Bender: Poor baby.

John Bender: Being bad feels pretty good, huh?

AND

Cannot forget this...My favourite song is the official soundtrack Don't you by Simple Minds :)

As I said...Love everything about it! :)

Small Peek...

Love it!

It's out of felt and veneer wood and I think it just looks amazing.

Maybe one day I'll be making one like this one, since my dad is working with this material :)

Earring Holder

A simple idea on how to store your earrings :)

I glued together all 3 card boards and pierced 2 wooden sticks through.

And from there on it's just decoration :)

Im going to give it to my friend who has tons of earrings so I think that even if she isn't going to like it, she is going to need it :D

Movie Thursday: Premium Rush

In Manhattan, a bike messenger picks up an envelope that attracts the interest of a dirty cop, who pursues the cyclist throughout the city.

Would you go for a ride through New York with a bike out of a steel frame, fixed gears and no brakes? Well at least he has a helmet on ...

The movie is great, I loved the sense of humour and the chasing scenes :) Another good movie with Joseph Gordon-Levitt :)

The Christmas candy box!

This is the How to for the Candy Boxes I've posted last week.

Let's get started, shall we?!

First, grab a lovely printed paper that is a bit harder than usual office paper, so printed cardboard, size 31 x 19 centimeters.

Every 5 cm of length and the bottom once fold it as shown on the picture.

For the bottom cut out small triangles.

On that one centimeter that is left behind, apply double sided tape. And also on the bottom too (watch the picture above).

After that, you will give the box its shape. First tape the ends together and then take a deep breath and start folding the bottom ends together. Start with the one with no tape, then continue with the next and so on and so on (Be careful that you don't press to hard, because you won't be able to correct the shape if needed).

We are almost done, now you just need to press the two edges together on the top and make holes :)

Decorate and you're done :)

Movie Thursdays: Fight Club

An insomniac office worker and a devil-may-care soap maker Tyler Durden form an underground fight club that transforms into a violent revolution.

This is the movie you just need to see. Out of the question. It's a movie that makes you think. Think really hard. Not just because of the reveal almost at the end. But because of all the quotes, the questions about life, happiness and freedom.

Just some of the best quotes from the movie:

Narrator: This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time.

Tyler Durden: All the ways you wish you could be, that's me. I look like you wanna look, I fuck like you wanna fuck, I am smart, capable, and most importantly, I am free in all the ways that you are not.

Narrator: On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Narrator: If you wake up at a different time in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

I've been on a craft workshop in my local hobby shop. And yes I've been one of the youngest :D

We've been making some very cute cardboard boxes and a simple Christmas tree for decoration :)

ok, ok ...the ribbons aren't the best, but I didn't have any other...

Movie Thursdays: Looper

In 2074, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe, who one day learns the mob wants to 'close the loop' by transporting back Joe's future self.

Probably one of the best movies I have ever seen. I think the story isn't that complicated, because Joseph explains it very good.
You know that Josephs nose is a bit different in this movie? Well he actually got a ''nose job'' just to be more similar to Bruce Willis :) He really did a great job, just because he was really similar to his co-star in the film :)

Watch it! You won't be sorry :)

Button magnets

Yes, I am obsessed with them. Again!
This si a simple DIY that takes only a minute for one button :)

If needed, cut the back of the buttons. And just glue the magnet to the button and wait to dry.

Super Simple :D

Have you made any magnets? Share with me at nicholson.ema@gmail.com ! :D

Movie Thursdays: Skyfall

Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

No special screen shots, because I don't want to spoil anything to anyone.

These are the main characters in the new Bond movie, which is now at the number 23. And you have probably heard it a thousand times, but I actually think it is the best Bond film by now! The scenes, the visuals, the tension and the ending, so short, everything, is amazing! Especially loved the fighting scenes, because of the bright colours! You'll know what I mean when you see it :)
If you haven't watch it, go. You won't regret nothing.

Oh and the song Skyfall was made perfect! Adele couldn't have done it better!

Say hi to my brother, who is a cinephile and now knows I'm writing a blog :D
