Tissue Paper Roses

Hello everyone!

How about making some nice little or big decorations for the table, shelves, vases, etc.

I think these napkin flowers are quite nice and they are super easy to make.

Here is what you need:

Fold the napkin twice in a small square and cut it to a circle. Separate the little circles and gather them together, staple them together and one by one bring the circles up and form a rose shape.

And that's it. Pretty easy isn't it?
Now you just need to place it somewhere. You can also decorate presents with these flowers.

What do you think? Do you like flowers?

And yes...that locker is broken..that's what you get for 2€...oh well at least you can still store tea :)

Napkins: gift box and a vase

I should have publish something else, but its still not finished. But I promised to show you something. So here it is...

I made this some time ago, with the napkin technique.
You probably already know the steps, but just to refresh everything. You place the napkin on to a surface and just go over it with a varnish.

I like green.

Napkins: Small wooden box

I once bought a set of 6 small boxes in different shapes. And because they were plain and boring, I decided to add some nice patterns with the napkin technique.

You will need:
- a small wooden box
- matt varnish
- napkins

First you cut out the napkins, just to see how would it fit on the box, and when that is decided, you add some matt varnish.

I haven't done any more designs, but I will and when I will I will show you! :D

Napkins: Cardboard Box

I love making unusable, boring and ugly things into something that is both interesting to look at + usable.

So I had this box, which was ugly brown colour, like any other box on this world. And I thought, why don't I cover it in my favorite napkin and use it for storage :)
So I did! :D

You need:

- a box, you want to decorate
- a napkin with a pattern you like
- mat varnish (I have Marabu - Aqua matt varnish)
- some clean brushes
- some time :)

You first colour the box in bright blue or any colour which you like, and will go good with the napkin. Then  you start with separating the napkin. You only need the upper layer of it (it usually has 3 layers), and then you place it on the box, and starting from the middle of it, you apply the varnish. You slowly work out until you finish. You can have some problems with applying too much varnish, so you can tear up the napkin. And be gentle!

You do this on the whole box. When you finish, you run through with the varnish again, just to make it more sure about making it harder and waterproof.

I love this box very much, because of its colour and pattern. I am using it for storage my other works :)

I hope I gave you some inspiration :)
