Button Earrings!

Hello Everyone!
As from now on, I'll be making tutorials for Lots of buttons, from their gorgeous selection of buttons!

And I think that you will see that making beautiful things, crafts with buttons, really isn't hard. It's easy! You just need some imagination, inspiration and time :)

Check out my first tutorial from their selection here.

Now let's check this tutorial :)

I fell in love with Bethany, I can't deny that. And because you can purchase different sizes, I bought two 14 mm and made them into earrings :)

I cut the back of the buttons and sand the rest as much as you can. You really want your buttons as flat as possible.

Then superglue it to the earring base :) Wait through the night to dry.

And there you have it :) Nice and unique earring most of your friends won't even know that they are buttons! :) And that's the point! Buttons can be used everywhere! :)

Movie Thursday: Seven Psychopaths

A struggling screenwriter inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends kidnap a gangster's beloved Shih Tzu.

Now this is one of the best movies I have seen so far! :D
The story is great, I like the funny moments and the way it is told is just amazing.
And the cast...Oh, can you imagine a better cast? :D Ok, yes you can...but still, they did a great job :)

I just received a package of buttons, from Lots of buttons, to create tutorials :)

I'm very exited and I can't wait to get down to business! I hope I'll have many different projects, if not....I'll have to ask you for some help :D

Let's get started!

Here and here are my past tutorials with buttons :)

Movie Thursdays: Pickup on South Street

A pickpocket unwittingly lifts a message destined for enemy agents and becomes a target for a Communist spy ring.

Wow. The opening scene is just brilliant! A beautiful woman in a crowded subway and two mysterious men...or wait, is there another mysterious man?

Liked it really much :) A classic Noir film!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's is coming!
If you already have a gift, but it looks a bit ''pale'', maybe you should make these small origami hearts to make the gift a little bit special!

There on the end, you have to push in the paper on the middle. And the last just cut the pointy ends :)
You don't need any glue, just a piece of paper and your hands, and scissors to cut of the ends :)

Happy Valentine's day!

White Smoke, Fuchsia Pink, Apple Green or Charcoal

Erlinda just is amazing! As soon as I saw it I knew it would make a great ring!

The only problem is just that the surface on the bottom is not completely flat. But it's not such a big deal, just sand it a bit and use a strong glue :)

Movie Thursdays: Silver Linings Playbook

After a stint in a mental institution, former teacher Pat Solitano moves back in with his parents and tries to reconcile with his ex-wife. Things get more challenging when Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own.

A interesting story with great actors. I really liked the ending and the funny moments :)

I'm sorry I didn't post Movie Thursday last week, I was quite busy with school and family stuff ...

Rounded boxes

When you finish decorating a gift with a wrapping tape, you can end up with a piece of plastic or a  rounded box, but for that, you need to give it some love.

First I've made a hole in to one of the ''boxes'' and then I glued two together.

Then I've painted the box with some old blue acrylic colour like ten times...It really is not the best choice, so I recommend maybe a spay paint. But I didn't have that back then so ... Protect it with some matt varnish and you're ready to go on.

After that I've made some small clay Greek men and vases and glued them on, to give it some life, and I think it came out good :)

Finish off with a felt bottom :)

The red one was made with some rounded labels that were removed after the coating with acrylic paint.

There are lot of possibilities so if you are inspired to make them, feel free to show off with them :)
