Movie Thursdays: Breakfast at Tiffany's

A young New York socialite becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building.

Now I know I don't need to introduce you to a beautiful woman, named Audrey Hepburn, but I just can't get around her. She is just so beautiful and great in this movie :) I actually like her role, the way she lived as a free-spirited woman. Love the way she dressed, talked, flirted, ... everything!

It's final!

It's happening!

Me and my mother just made a reservation for a hotel in Hammersmith, London :)
So, now we have a place to stay (my great grand mother isn't feeling well ...) and I'm so relieved!

Booking a flight and a hotel is very stressful.
There are so many to choose from and because we wanted to be in zone 2 and stay in a decent hotel, with our own bathroom, for a reasonable price, you can imagine how we both felt for the last week...

But we are through this phase and we are ready to move on. Now there are still the bus tickets to London (we are landing on Stansted Airport) and to figure out the underground system.

But I know we'll get the best deals for the best prices, so I'm pretty excited and a bit nervous.

Fingers crossed and more information in the end of June! :)

Small Peek ...

You know I love London, don't you? Well I've been there once, and tomorrow I'll find out if I'm going to see my great grand mother and see my favourite city.

Fingers crossed!

Movie Thursdays: Forrest Gump

Forrest Gump, while not intelligent, has accidentally been present at many historic moments, but his true love, Jenny Curran, eludes him.

I'm so angry at myself, because I haven't watch this masterpiece before!
I love it because of all the historic events (great for a quick recap off an interesting period of time) and the way they are presented. And Tom Hanks is absolutely amazing.

Don't make the same mistake as I did. Watch the movie, as soon as possible! :D

PS: Happy spring to everyone!

Saint Patrick's Day!

Aaaand I'm late...but yeah, I made this yesterday in the evening, when I was pretty darn sad, and when I'm sad I just need to make something...Oh, and my English teacher wanted us to wear something green to school...and because I don't own any green shirts, cardigans, trousers ... well nothing I made this ring :)

I made it out of green yarn, which I glued to a small piece of cardboard in the shape of a four-leaf clover.
I like the way it turned out :) Maybe I'll make more :)

Before you tell me that I didn't made the right shamrock, just know, that a four-leaf clover is a sign of luck :) And I think I'll need a lot of it from now on!

Button Pins!

Hello everyone!
I have to publish a new project for Lots of buttons today :)
And today I have a cute and easy DIY that everyone can make to look their home a bit more fun :)

Yes, Button Pins. Why? Because I have some cork tiles on which I pin all sorts of things - postcards, messages, funny notes, coupons, etc. And I wanted to make those dull pins into something more colourful and fun :)

Now, if you visited Lots of buttons, you could see that they have a really huge selection of buttons :D And that's very good, because people have different tastes, so everybody has different criteria on what is beautiful, fun or pretty.

For this project you'll need:
- some buttons, used here are Mathew, Stacia and Tyler.
- drawing pin (push pin), not the ones on the picture...sorry..
- super glue

First, cut the back of the button and sand it till it's flat.

Then, glue the pin and the button together and wait till it dries.

And after that you can use your new pins in your office or at home :)

I bet people will look at them with that look...''Oh, this is a button?! Wow, I really like the way it looks!''

Movie Thursday: On the road

Young writer Sal Paradise has his life shaken by the arrival of free-spirited Dean Moriarty and his girl, Marylou. As they travel across the country, they encounter a mix of people who each impact their journey indelibly.

The book by Jack Keouac was a huge influence on the baby boom generation and hippies accepted it as their Bible.

I don't know about you, but I like the idea to travel around and making your life as you want it. But yeah, I don't believe that many success with this kind of life.
But it's an interesting way of thinking, you can't deny it :)

I know many are disappointed and say that the movie is not as good as the book, but I liked it.

Movie Thursday: Tangled

The magically long-haired Rapunzel has spent her entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she really is.

I'm in love with this movie! I watched twice now and I still find it funny and emotional :) I just love Disney's animated movies! Especially fairytales. :)

Misty!

I like the name Misty it reminds me of Misty from Pokemon :D

And I absolutely love this ring! It look old and rusty, and I like it that way! :D

Movie Sunday: Lincoln

As the Civil War continues to rage, America's president struggles with continuing carnage on the battlefield and as he fights with many inside his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate the slaves.

Now this is how I imagine Abraham Lincoln! I agree with the Academy that Daniel Day-Lewis is the best actor for the year 2012!

Apologies for the ''Sunday'', but I couldn't let you without a movie this week :)
