Today...
and tomorrow I'll be in London! :)
Obviously I won't be posting anything for the time I'm away...but I asked my cinephile brother Tim, if he would post Movie Thursdays while I'm gone.. :)
So if there aren't going to be any Movie Thursdays...he is super lazy. And I'll be very mad at him....
Anyways, I can't wait to see London!
See you soon!

Movie Thursdays: Iron Man III
When Tony Stark's world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, he starts an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution.
Oh sexy Robert Downey Junior! He really is a capable actor, full of funny moments, sexy moments, serious moments, ...
I like this part as much as I like the first one! Can't wait for the Avengers part 2!

Happy Statehood Day Slovenia!
I live in a state that is small, but proud of its independence. I know you have probably heard about our bank, corruption problems... I don't know what will come, but I know that if we want changes, we will have to unite again, like we did 22 years ago. Because we need them.

One year more!
My school - Gymnasium Slovenj Gradec |
It was damn hot!
At the moment there are 32° C outside and I can barely breathe... So imagine 300 people in a gym all seated, and the sun ruthlessly shining on us. Thanks for my concern on the looks of the certificate, I brought a big blue folder with me. So just imagine me with that folder waving around like crazy.
Fun...fun...fun...
After that me and my friends went to the park and have some good
time :) I like the park. Especially when there are a lot of people and I just go around to every bench there is and have a little chit chat with someone.
I could say that I was very successful this year, but I wasn't ''excellent''. I don't know about you Americans or British, but here in Slovenia you get a final grade on how well you did in school.
There are marks:
(1) insufficient, which means you didn't make the class.
(2) sufficient, you were OK, but pretty bad ..
(3) good, you are somewhere in the middle ..
(4) very good, that's me... but it I had one subject more completed with a excellent grade, I would have been;
(5) excellent, which is the best, you have most of the subjects completed with a 5 (excellent).
Oh well, I still have one year of high school ahead! Maybe next year, but now I think I'll stop thinking of school and enjoy the summer ...
First stop: LONDON!

Movie Thursdays: The Apartment
A man tries to rise in his company by letting its executives use his apartment for trysts, but complications and a romance of his own ensue.
As it is said in the trailer: a great story with a interesting problem, a great cast and a great director, who just knows how to hold the tension till the very end.
I like it, because you and Jack Lemmon are the only two persons who knows what is actually going on in the apartment.

Small Peek...
I really like this small only a few centimeters big vase full of flowers that my mothers aunt made. She really liked to crochet.

I have to tell you something...
I'm not Emma Nicholson.
I'm Tesa Januška from Slovenia. I'm an eighteen year old high school student and I like to craft.
I used to be Emma Nicholson. But that's not me. I've changed all my accounts to my real name.
For those who have followed me for this year, I'm sorry. I kinda lied to you.
I used Emma Nicholson to be my guardian on the internet. I never wanted my friends to know about my blog.
I recently won a book on Cut out and Keep, and the name that was posted to was Emma Nicholson...and my uncle, who is a postman, didn't like that at all...And I've had it.
So here I am! I have a clear conscience and I am very relieved.
I hope you understand and won't be mad or anything :)
Thank you!

Movie Thursdays: Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
An insane general starts a process to nuclear holocaust that a war room of politicians and generals frantically try to stop.
Oh, Stanley Kubrick what have you prepared us for this time?
A insane general who worries about body fluids and starts a nuclear war.
A doomsday device that triggers if being attacked and cannot be deactivated.
A bunch of politicians who just talk and do nothing.
A great satire of the Cold War.

Gatsby inspired Jewelry Box
I really need to see the new version...yes, I'm guilty, I haven't seen the new movie, because I haven't had access to a cinema which played The Great Gatsby. But I plan to see it soon!
I saw the 1974 version, with beautiful Robert Redford and Mia Farrow, but it believe that the new one is better.
As soon as I heard that a new movie is being made I was in that obsessed state. And you can imagine how I feel now, when I still haven't seen the movie...sad me :(
The poster made a big impression on me. I became in love with black-gold combination and geometrical patterns. So that's why I made this box.
But as I like everything nice and clean, I didn't make so many lines as on the poster.
I painted the box black, cut the shapes from golden paper, glued it on and finish with matte varnish.
I recommend cutting the shapes in one piece, because it will be easier to glue it on the box.
I sew 5 felt rectangles with toy stuffing as seen on the picture.
What do you think about The Great Gatsby? Did you see the movie? I'd love to hear what you think about the movie and my little project :)

Movie Thursdays: Django Unchained
With the help of a German bounty hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner.
Love it! Love the visuals, the story, the actors, Tarantino, the blood, the humor, the guns, the house, ...
I'm ashamed because this is just the third movie I've seen from Tarantino.. I've seen Kill Bill I, II. SHAME ON ME!
Foxx is just hot! He really makes the word hot into action :D And Christoph...damn...love his Austrian, oh pardon, German accent. When I watched the movie I actually liked German...oh dear, what's happening...No offence to all my German readers, I'm learning your language!
Yeah, it's a great movie and I'm definitely going to watch it again :)

I just realised...
...that it's been a year since I started my blog!
Actually a year and 2 days...
Congratulate me, because I really didn't believe I would survive a year. But I really enjoy blogging. I know I'm not the best blogger and my English is still not perfect, but I'm learning! You can't judge me :)
So, how am I doing....
Well, I've just passed 5000 of readers...not much for a year, but I'm still very grateful to all of those who came and maybe just looked at my projects, movies, ... :)
That means you too, yeah you, who is reading right now!
Thank you!
And some other interesting facts:
- I've posted 32 different DIY projects, you can check them all on the DIY Projects page
- 34 different movies, which can be viewed on the Movie Thursdays page
- 5 travel destinations from my perspective, yes they are all on the travel page (more to come very soon, as you know I'm going to London in a few weeks!)
- and 11 pieces from my home that I love on the Small Peek page! :D
1. I promise I'll be working on my English.
2. I promise I'll be making more wonderful, interesting DIYs.
3. I promise I'll never forget to post another Movie Thursdays...
4. I promise I'll watch good movies.
5. I promise I'll try to open up a bit to you. You still don't know who I really am...No I'm not Emma Nicholson..

Collar Necklace
The weather isn't the best, school is going to end, my trip to London is so close and I can't wait for it! :)
But I'm not there yet, so I still can post on my blog :)
What do you think about this necklace above?
I up cycle it from an old necklace and I think it looks quite interesting :)
There are 3 different chains, the biggest is on the outside so it forms a collar, then inside there are 2 pieces of a bit bigger chain and 3 pieces of a smaller one.
You will need:
- chains (every other must be a bit shorter)
- pliers
- wire
All you have to do:
- join the chains in a desired order on a wire
- join the ends of the wire together to form a circle
- do this three times, one for the left side, one for the right side and one for the middle circle
- but be careful with the middle one that the shortest chain is on the top (watch the picture)
- then just join the two circles (left and right) together with a chain that has a jewelry clasp
If you are wondering about these two circles...
I had to use a very small, delicate wire, because that was the only way I could include the smallest chain. I just wrapped the wire around and around and then squeezed everything with pliers.
What do you think about these collar necklaces? Would you wear one?
Comment below, I'd love to know what you think!
